During my childhood, my family earned the moniker “go-go Dunlops.” because we were always on the move. Before I set foot in college, I had lived in 11 different homes, across 6 cities and 3 countries. Fast-forward three decades and while proudly rooted in the vibrant city of San Francisco, our adventurous spirit remains undiluted thanks to my wife, who matches (maybe even exceeds) my fervor for exploring new places. 

A by-product of all this travel in my youth sparked my desire to earn a degree in Medieval history, which has since flared up into a fascination with the past writ large. All this means that when I travel, my first thought is where’s the nearest castle, battlefield, or archaeological treasure trove

Now I’m taking a leap of faith to share my tales of adventure, musings, tips, and insights with anyone who’s willing to listen. So, welcome aboard this exciting ride as we explore the past while creating new chapters of our own.
